Admission

Only a limited number of applicants are accepted into the Department of Nursing each year. The Nursing Admissions Committee seeks to select the most qualified applicants for admission. The application deadline is January 31 each year. 

In addition to acceptance to the University, applicants to the Nursing Major must be accepted by the Department of Nursing. A special application form is available online. Complete the application online (Acrobat Reader required *free*) or from the Department of Nursing Office, Barnett Hall 2401. Applicants are asked to submit a summary of career goals along with their application. Prospective students are strongly encouraged to submit materials by January 31 of each year. Admission to the Department of Nursing is dependent upon the number of spaces available and individual evaluation of the applicant materials.
