The Truman State University Nursing Students
Association (NSA) is chartered as the official
organization for nursing majors and is
affiliated with the Missouri Nursing Students
Association (MONSA) and
National Student Nurses Association (NSNA).
The Missouri Nurses Association and the Missouri
League for Nursing provide professional
consultation to the state organization.
The
primary purpose of NSA is to promote
socialization into the nursing profession
through education, leadership and service. The
organization provides the opportunity for
development of collegial and mentoring
relationships among nursing students of all
levels. NSA has been active on the Truman State
University campus since 1961.
NSA supports professional development by
bringing in speakers that offer education
related to future careers. NSA is involved in
community and service projects such as Health
Awareness Week on the Truman campus.
